Nice Unit But Didn't Work

Very expensive unit and should work as advertised. But it didn™€™t. We bought the freezer/refrigerator side-by-side. The ice maker produced one batch of ice and then stopped working. It took three weeks to get a GE service technician out to diagnose the problem. Apparently, a known problem is that in side-by-side installations the ice maker water line freezes. A part needed to be ordered and installed, resulting an additional two weeks with no ice. Frustrating.

Icemaker Didn't Work

The freezer seems like it's a good unit. However, the icemaker didn't work. Apparently, when the freezer and refrigerator are side-by-side, the water line to the freezer can freeze up. A new part is necessary. It's been about a month to get serviced. In the meantime, no ice, except that which I buy at the market to fill the ice bin.

ICE MAKER HAS NEVER WORKED 6 MONTHS OF HASSLE

Purchased a full suite, 1 of 2 dishwashers, the range and the freezer all had issues. The ice maker on the Freezer has not worked for more than a couple days. Freezes. Customer service by phone and in chat can not solve issue. Everyone is nice but cant get resolved. Have had 6 repair visists, 3 dedicated to ice maker and not resolved.

WILL NOT MAKE ICE

I have been dealing with GE service for the past four months trying to troubleshoot my freezer not producing ice. I™€™ve spent hours waiting for techs for them all to ultimately tell me they can™€™t fix it. They finally showed up today for what feels like the sixth time to install the kit that was supposed to fix the problem. After installation, the freezer only produced four ice cubes over the past ten hours. So, it™€™s obvious the lines have frozen up again. On top of that, the techs that have been out have chipped, dented, and ripped my handle off of my fridge and misaligned my panels. I™€™ve had to pay my cabinetmaker to come out twice to fix what they™€™ve broken. I am a trade member and based on how I have been treated, I will never be able to recommend Monogram to any clients.

We installed this, along with the column refrigerator, in our new home. It's beautifully designed and feels so much more "solid" then a separate unit we purchased as a second refrigerator/freezer. Overall it came together very nicely and so glad we spent the money.

Ice maker never worked; still doesn™€™t after repair

We bought this for our new home that we moved into 3.5 months ago. The ice maker wasn™€™t working and I was told that there was a repair kit in the works. Just yesterday (3.5 months later) a service technician completed the repair. It did not work, still no ice. I don™€™t understand why GE didn™€™t replace the unit. It just doesn™€™t seem right to me.

I really like the ability to have fridge and freezer separate. I have the matching fridge in the kitchen and this freezer in the pantry. It allows for flexibility and optimizes space for food. This freezer is a great size and accommodates all the food that we need. The ice is really great too! The features I like best are the metal/glass shelves (no plastic) and the lights. We kid that we can hear a choir when we open it. Would buy it again!

Monogram Freezer - Ice Maker Issue

Had a GE profile for years and recently remodeled and upgraded. This is a very different product than profile. Constructed with quality, glass and stainless interior, no plastic parts. The ice drawer is very large, enough ice for a small party on a hot summer day. Also ordered 30 inch column refrigerator and two refrigerated drawers that are a separate unit. we had the cabinet facing attached for the front. Note that the door has a slight bow in it in the middle and the cabinetry will need to compensate for this is you want the front flat. While this is far more expensive than standard appliances pricing is attractive versus other premium brands and so far don™€™t seem to give up quality.
