Nice product, however the center, smallest eye stopped working correctly as the cooktop approached one year of use. When OFF position of the knob is selected and indicated the flame is still present. The diagnosis is a faulty valve under the center knob of the cooktop. Repair is coming soon

Overall I like the cooktop, but there are things that I wish were different. The two burners at the front are both small burners and I will never use the simmer burner, so it is a waste for me to have it up front. I cook with olive oil a lot and it tends to splatter on the cooktop, so I have to clean it a lot. It is easy to clean, although you have to remove the grills to clean it. It does seem to take a while to boil a pot of water. Overall I do like the cooktop.

Like the cooktop but lighting a burner is tough

We like our new cooktop but have found that lighting a burner is not as easy as other gas cooktops we've used. It sometimes does not come on if you move to turn it down too quickly and you can smell gas in the kitchen.

This is an exceptional 5 burner cooktop! Can't say enough good things about ability to adjust the heat so precisely with a variety of burners. From the large double-ring high heat center burner to the opti-simmer ring. A burner for every cooking need! Love it!

Stainless Steel is Junk

We decided to purchase Bosch after family members lauded their reputation for quality. Unfortunately, the company must have been riding that wave and decided to compromise. The stovetop stainless steel is the most finicky, easily scratched, cheap metal I've ever owned on any appliance. I cook frequently, almost every evening. Even the slightest crumb under a sponge in the wrong direction will leave a scratch. Panko crumb and microfiber? Scratch. Then, the stainless steel cleaners never seem to buff nicely. We've owned plenty of stainless steel appliances, and the Bosch stainless is just trash. In terms of the burners, they are fine. I wished I had heeded the advice of the few reviews I actually saw that mentioned this issue. If you actually cook and dont just treat this stovetop like a kitchen "ornament," please look at other brands! Regretting the thousands of dollars we sent to Bosch and telling all family members to steer clear of their products.

burner not working

Less than 2 months after purchase and installation 1 burner no longer works. Setup service call with Bosch and local tech came out. Stated a part needs to be replaced and needs to go through Bosch to order. 6 weeks later no calls from either Bosch or tech. Contacted tech who states Bosch site is not accessible to order part and Bosch is not returning calls. Called Bosch and was told "issue is between me and tech". Mind you this is a warrantied item. My house is loaded with Bosch products which some were replaced in 2024 with Bosch products.

I recently purchased this gas cooktop, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It combines functionality, durability, and style in one fantastic package. The burners deliver consistent heat and ignite effortlessly every time. The range of heat settings is impressive, allowing precise temperature control whether you're simmering a delicate sauce or searing a steak. The control knobs are smooth and easy to use. The layout of the burners is well-thought-out, giving plenty of space to use multiple large pots or pans simultaneously. Heats up well. Looks great. Note that it's really 37inches and we needed a larger cutout for it. I thought the L side burners were the same size to use a double burner griddle but they don't have similarly sized burners on the same side so won't be able to add a griddle which is disappointing.

We had tried a conduction stovetop and found it unreliable. So we swithched back to gas.The Bosch stovetop appeared well constructed and fairly priced, We have enjoyed it ,but are still learning about the different burners. The center burner we can never get it low enought to simmer not boil. Overall an excellent stovetop.

We love this cooktop. For us I can not over emphasize the safety features of this cooktop. We didn't need a new cooktop, but when we saw this unit at the showroom we had to get it. The iluminated knows the tell you if you have left the burnner on and the fact the also display if a burner is still warm are the best idea ever. I get quite busy cooking some complicated dishes and this feature (along with several others) sold me on this cooktop. I also love the center "Wok" burner as I cook many Asian dishes and the "Extremely" low temp simmer burner works excelent. For us this is the best cooktop available.

New Gas Cooktop

On the whole I am very happy with the Bosch gas Cooktop. I love th very low simmer burner. It has taken some getting used to though. My old stove had the large burner on the front right; this has the large burner on the back right. I find that awkward. I use the central burner more often, but that can't be turned way down like the large back burner. Also, it was scratched during installation, though the installer said it wasn't and polished it with WD-40 so I couldn't see it, but it was indeed scratched.

Well made cooktop

I like the features of this cooktop. The design and lines are very clean and straightforward. I have a little difficulty cleaning the surface but I will have to find a way to get less spillage as I cook. Grills are heavy and well made. My only complaint is that the stainless steel part making up the body of the cooktop could be more substantial. I think the weight of the steel is flimsy. Due to its construction, there is a gap between the counter and the cooktop. Not sure what can be done to prevent matter from seeping in between the gap.

Beautiful & Functional, Tough to Keep Clean

I love our new cooktop and its functionality is so much more robust and flexible than the one it replaced. The only issue that we have with it is that because it is so shiny and its knobs even shinier, it shows every spot of anything that gets on it. After every use, we have to remove the grates and polish - not just clean, but polish - the whole thing. The stainless steel shows streaks very easily, so polishing it is a bit of a pain.

NGM800 Series

We had a previous version of the NGM800 Series Gas Cooktop but upgraded to the NGM8658UC model roughly 2 years ago during a remodel. We have been disappointed in this model. The lower heat burners have been moved to the front. It made more sense for them to be in the back when simmering or cooking items at a lower temperature as this left the front burners open to active cooking. Now, you are reaching across burners to cook on the back burners. The middle burner stays way too hot even at its lowest level. It is the only burner that can quickly bring a pot of water to a boil. The back two burners rarely can bring a medium pot of water to a roiling boil. We are constantly moving pots around to find the correct heat level even after using for several years. Further, we are now having to replace our 4th knob. The inside part is made of plastic and breaks easily. They are expensive to replace at $25 per knob. Again, these knobs should last longer than they are. Overall, we have been extremely unhappy with the Bosch 800 Series Gas Cooktop and we would not recommend.
